Millennium Square is set to take audiences on a journey down memory lane this summer as the outdoor venue gets ready to host two unmissable tribute headline shows as part of the annual Summer Series this August.
On 1 August, Legend: The Music of Bob Marley will take audiences on a mesmerising journey through the iconic sounds of the reggae legend. Direct from the West End, the two-hour spectacular tribute brings to life the timeless hits of Bob Marley, including “Could You Be Loved“, “Is This Love“, and “No Woman No Cry“, amongst a myriad of reggae classics.
Friday 2 August, will mark the return of The Magic Of Motown to Millennium Square, acclaimed as ‘one of the biggest success stories in British theatre history. Music fans are invited to celebrate the sound of a generation as the timeless music of Marvin Gaye, Diana Ross, Stevie Wonder, The Temptations, The Supremes, The Four Tops, Martha Reeves, Jackson 5, Smokey Robinson and more, are recreated by a talented cast and band. Now in its 19th year, this breath-taking concert spectacular takes the audience on a musical journey through Motown Records’ famed back catalogue of hit songs, including Ain’t No Mountain, Signed Sealed Delivered, Grapevine, Get Ready, Dancing In The Streets, My Girl, Blame It On The Boogie, All Night Long and many more.
The evening will also feature the sensational production ‘Give Me the Night’, the brand-new George Benson tribute show which is taking the UK by storm. Starring world-renowned leading man Nat Augustin, the show promises a string of hits from the American soul superstar including Never Give up on a Good Thing, Love Times Love, In Your Eyes, Lady Love Me (One More Time), Shiver, The Greatest Love of All, Turn Your Love Around, On Broadway, Feel Like Making Love and many more.
