THE MAGIC OF STORY TELLING

THE MAGIC OF STORY TELLING
Intrepid young adventurers can go on an epic journey from the far reaches of space to the depths of the ocean floor as they explore the magic of storytelling.

Story Explorers, a new free exhibition at Leeds Central Library, includes eye-catching features such as a giant cuddly octopus and a spectacular model of the moon as part of an immersive, family friendly event is now running until May 30, 2026.

Co-produced alongside the British Library, the exhibition will give visitors the opportunity to dive into a series of imaginary worlds as they read, play, craft and create.

Families will get to see a collection of weird and wonderful items selected from and inspired by the collections of Leeds Libraries, Leeds Museums and Galleries, and the British Library.

Alongside books, there will be sound recordings from the British Library’s Sound Archive and an activity table to draw and create at.  Families will also be able to peruse a temporary mini children’s library next to the exhibition, extending the joy of reading beyond Story Explorers.

The exhibition is free to attend and family friendly facilities on site include free buggy park, baby change units and accessible toilet.

Story Explorers is generously supported by The BAND Trust and The Klein Family Foundation. With thanks to YPO.
