Leeds, UK – South Asian Arts-uk (SAA-uk) is proud to announce the return of Leeds Summer Solstice, now in its 14th year, and promising the most extraordinary edition yet. This immersive, all-night celebration of Indian Classical Music will take place from 8PM on Saturday 21st June to 6AM on Sunday 22nd June 2025, at the beautifully serene White Rose Park Hub, Leeds.
Each year, this unique event welcomes the Summer Solstice — a sacred turning point in the calendar — with an unbroken stream of soul-stirring music. Audiences gather in reverence and celebration, from sunset to sunrise, in a collective moment of pause, reflection, and joy.
It’s a wonderful opportunity to bring along friends and family—perhaps to mark a birthday, enjoy a special midsummer evening together, or even host a pajama party! With its alignment to World Music Day and International Yoga Day, the celebration beautifully reflects the spirit of community, creativity, and wellbeing—after all, music is yoga for the mind and soul.
This year’s stellar lineup features master musicians from the UK, India, and the USA, including the much-anticipated return of Santoor Maestra Kamaljeet Kaur and sitar maestro Purbayan Chatterjee, who will grace the Leeds stage for a rare performance. Accompanied by the finest classical instrumentalists and vocalists of today, the programme offers a rich blend of tradition, innovation, and transcendence.
