FOR THE RETURN OF RESTAURANT DINING
Acclaimed tapas restaurant El Gato Negro has announced plans for a special spring event.
Launching on April 12, Tapas on the Terrace will see diners invited to enjoy a selection of the restaurant’s most popular dishes, shared alfresco with family and friends.
The announcement comes further to the restaurant having been inundated with enquiries regarding its plans for reopening, with diners keen to reserve a taste of El Gato Negro’s award-winning small plates.
The intimate event will be hosted on the restaurant’s pavement terrace, with seating for 20.
It will run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 11am to 10pm, for five weeks, up until the restaurant’s official reopening on May 17, government restrictions permitting. Online reservations are available for dining, with walk-ins available for those looking for a drink.
Reservations are subject to government guidelines, with a maximum party size of six and two households.
Chef Patron & Creative Director at El Gato Negro, Simon Shaw, told The Leeds Guide: “I’ve been blown away by the number of calls and emails we’ve received these last couple of weeks with people wishing us well as we countdown to reopening.
“We can’t wait to get back to it, to be reunited as a team and with our guests, many of whom have become great friends over the years. Our spring event Tapas on the Terrace provides the perfect opportunity to do so, providing a small taste of what is to come when we reopen our doors for restaurant dining. We’re really looking forward to it.”
