A weekly dose of music al fresco starts up again with performances from some of the very best local brass, jazz and concert bands that bring the city’s parks alive with music.

Courtesy of Leeds City Council there are 113 free* concerts across 32 parks to choose from, across Leeds and the surrounding area. Simply turn up and enjoy the music from 2.30pm every Sunday until the end of September. (*An entry fee per person applies at Lotherton Hall Estate and Meanwood Valley Urban Farm.)

Councillor Jonathan Pryor, Leeds City Council’s executive member for economy, culture and education, said:
“It’s exciting to know such a talented and diverse programme of musical acts will be performing for the people of Leeds again this summer”.
“Music is a wonderful way to animate our beautiful parks and green spaces and, as we celebrate our Leeds 2023 year of culture, these events will create a fabulous atmosphere across local communities.”

Amongst hundreds of appreciative comments received, an audience member attending last year’s Summer Bands in Leeds Parks said: “Thank you for arranging all these wonderful concerts throughout Leeds. This band is great and made everyone happy during their performance”.
