The 17th March is normally a day for much celebration for its St Patrick’s Day. But this year celebrations will be much curtailed due to lockdown but there’s nothing to stop you having your own celebration at home. So why not raise a glass or two from the couch.
Drinks on St Patrick’s Day can be sophisticated and different you can even celebrate with an Irish Whiskey cocktail or stick to a traditional Irish Coffee the choice is yours.
So to make your day a little exciting and even sophisticated we’ve put together recipes a couple of cocktails from Slane Irish Whiskey’s experts.
Slane is an Irish whisky made on the grounds of the legendary Slane Castle in the rural countryside of the Boyne Valley. With notes of caramel, dried fruit and butterscotch it is perfect for cocktails. Slane is available from Waitrose and other supermarkets.
River Boyne Fizz
– 20ml Lemon juice
– 30ml Slane Irish Whiskey
– 1tbsp Local honey
– 1 Dash of orange bitters
– Tonic Water
– Lemon wedge and mint to garnish
– 40ml Slane Irish Whiskey
– 15ml Vanilla-infused Demerara syrup
– Double espresso
– Double cream
– Dark chocolate and orange shavings
