TO FACE UP TO SPRING

Although we have more bad weather, chills and blustery winds to come before we can think of warmer days – it’s never too early to kick start your spring skincare routine and the best way is to invest in professional facial.

The Hydra Facial

Often known as the ‘lunch hour facial’ this is the latest non-invasive, deep cleaning facial treatment. Using a unique patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system, this facial cleanses, exfoliates, extracts and hydrates, providing instant long lasting results and promises to leave you with a glowing skin.

The first step is to detox using lymphatic drainage to improve circulation of the lymphatic system which helps to eliminate toxins

Next the skin is deep cleaned using vortex technology which lifts away the dead skin layers ready for gentle skin resurfacing. A chemical exfoliation is then applied to rejuvenate and soften the pores  ready for extraction  done using vortex technology to lift away blackheads, blocked pores, oil and congestion whilst infusing the skin with nourishing moisturizers.

A cocktail of antioxidants, hyaluronic acid and peptides is then applied to hydrate and protect and give the skin a glow.

Verdict: My skin did look positively glowing but the results were short lived. This is a pleasant and relaxing experience and with a course of regular facials will give lasting results. The Elan Power 3 Facial

Often referred to as the Hollywood Facial this advanced laser treatment offers Hollywood-like results to leave your skin feeling refreshed, plump, and smoother than ever before. A  medical-grade Helios Ill laser is used for their carbon facial treatments; its unmatched power and advanced laser technology provides unparalleled treatment quality and safety standards. The Helios Ill allows Elan to exfoliate up to four times deeper than a standard skin peel for thoroughly invigorated skin.

The facial is done in four stages: –

Stage 1 – Laser genesis

Gently heat the skin to cleanse and prep. Softens the pores while drawing out oil to the surface ready for stage two.

Stage 2 – Carbon Application & Laser Exposure

A face mask comprised of activated charcoal and carbon powder is applied. Laser energy is attracted to the carbon elements in the face mask heating and destroying it, removing any excess oil dirt or debris with it. It effectively minimises pore size, promotes acne recovery and tightens the skin.

Stage 3 – Stimulation & Exfoliation

The laser is now switched to  Q-switch mode, allowing gentle exfoliate of the skin. During this stage the excess carbon will be removed from the skin . This ‘peeling’ process will unclog the pores and exfoliate the upper layers of your skin.

Stage 4 – Collagen & Elastin Production

Verdict: My skin was certainly transformed looking smoother and with a definite glow – even  my partner noticed it. The result lasted for a couple of days but again for the maximum benefit a course is recommended.
