Patrick Monahan brings his sell-out show to Leeds for Irish History Month
Following another sell out run at the 2014 Edinburgh Festival, Patrick Monahan hits Carriageworks Theatre on Saturday 21 March with his energetically witty and charming family show Adventures in Monahan Land.
Expect plenty of playful audience interaction from this loveable the Irish/Iranian Teessider as he arrives in Leeds during the 9th annual Irish History Month as presented by the Irish Arts Foundation. Monahan’s humour is renowned for quick-witted banter with the crowd and an animated story-telling style that draws on his unique family heritage and life experiences.
Early in 2014 Patrick took part in the hit family entertainment series Splash! (ITV) and was also seen on Fake Reaction (ITV) and on Man Up (Fox). A regular 2014 guest on Not The One Show (London Live), this autumn he will be appearing in the brand new series of Celebrity Squares (ITV). Last year Patrick could be seen as host of Jongleurs Live! (Sky) and on 12 Again (CBBC/BBC2). His other 2013 TV appearances include Comedy Annual (ITV1) Daybreak (ITV1) Loose Women (ITV1) and The Wright Stuff (C5). In 2012 he took part in Let’s Dance for Sports Relief on BBC, won Best Newcomer at the Loaded LAFTA Awards and Forth Radio Best Stand-Up People’s Choice Award for his hit show Hug Me I Feel Good.
Patrick was winner of the 2011 ITV1 series Show Me The Funny which led to the release of his debut DVD Patrick Monahan Live (2 Entertain).
