West Yorkshire’s largest one-day music festival back for 2015
Oakwell Hall Country Park, Kirklees
After our successful 2014 event Oakwell Music Festival is back bigger and better for it’s second year. Based in the grounds of the magnificent Oakwell Hall Country Park the festival boasts three stages and an impressive 22 bands.
Three and a half thousand people joined in the fun last year and with more bands, bigger stages and more attractions this year is set to be record breaking.
Brit nominated The Feeling will be headlining our main stage, with other great acts including Stooshe, Rupert Stroud, Dodgy, 4th Street Traffic to name but a few. At the Oakwell Music Festival we believe firmly in keeping things local with over half of incredible acts hailing form right here in Yorkshire.
We take our food seriously at the Oakwell Festival, and try to put together a great mix of styles and fun, for example this year we have fresh Thai food, wood fired pizza and Jamaican street food as well as the very popular Proseco Bar. Family is important to us and will be providing more entertainment for younger children this year, along with the bouncy castles and slides, we will be providing “Make and Do” workshops, kids rides, and plenty more.
The ticketed event is run entirely by volunteers with proceeds from the day going to local good causes. Event organizer Paul Fisher said, “We had fantastic feedback from last year, even seasoned festival goers sent messages of appreciation, this only spurred us on to keep the event running, and bigger and better than before.”
