MAKE A SUMMER VEGAN PLEDGE

MAKE A SUMMER VEGAN PLEDGE

‘Save Animals and Money This June’ – Leeds Eatery’s Special Offer For Those Going Vegan In June

Leeds, UK – Animal Aid – one of the UK’s largest animal rights organisations – will this year run its very first Summer Vegan Pledge, a month long Pledge that takes place this June.

To mark the occasion, Leeds bar and restaurant, Chida Cantina, will be offering Summer Vegan Pledge participants a special discount in order to help them stay vegan for the month, and beyond.

Chida Cantina, located on Cross Belgrave Street, is a Mexican-themed taco bar, serving up all the classics, but with a vegan twist. Customers can enjoy tacos stuffed with tofu, marinated soya chunks, homemade vegan ‘chorizo’ and ‘drunken’ beans made with gluten-free beer. You can even try some vegan ‘mutton’ and vegan ‘fish’ – otherwise known as tofish – in your tacos.

Participants will receive a special discount voucher to use during the Summer Vegan Pledge.

The Summer Vegan Pledge is a 30-day Pledge that encourages non-vegans to try a plant-based diet for the month of June. It is free to sign up, and as well as getting the chance to get discounts at some amazing places in Yorkshire, and beyond, participants will get all of the help and advice they need and will have the chance to visit The Retreat Animal Sanctuary in Kent, to see the animals who live there – most of whom have been saved from slaughter.

Says Animal Aid’s Vegan Outreach Campaign Manager, Tod Bradbury:
‘We are so grateful to Chida Cantina for offering participants a special discount.

‘The Summer Vegan Pledge is the perfect opportunity for those who are curious about a plant-based diet to give it a try. And with vegan options popping up in supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants and cafés – both chain and independent – it has never been easier.

‘A plant-based vegan diet is kinder to animals, better for the environment and healthy.’
