JAZZ LEEDS CELEBRATES ITS 15TH BIRTHDAY

To celebrate their 15th birthday Jazz Leeds are celebrating with four  events at The Chapel Allerton Arts Festival – 1-4 September.

The focus is on fun with jazz and dance, jazz and silent movies,  contemporary music and an open-air Jazz Sunday for all the family!

Learn to jive and swing dance with the Two Rivers Swing Band and dance tutors from the Swing Casa on Thursday 1st September at 7pm in the Queens Hall, Immaculate Heart, Harrogate Road.

On Friday 2nd September its back to the days of the silent Silent Movie: Buster Keaton “In One Week” and “The Boat” with Adam Fairhall on piano at  7:00pm whilst on Saturday 3rd September at 7.30  The Marco Woolf Sextet with  Sarah Heneghan will perform. Both events at Seven Arts.

Its Jazz Sunday on 4th Setpember at the Chapel Allerton Festival from 12.30 to 4.45 on the Regent Street Open Air Stage where the accent is on jazz and latin music.  Performances by Youth Jazz Rock Orchestra; Quinteto Gustavo Andrade; Louis Louis Louis; New York Brass Band (pictured above) and Tempo Feliz.
