Having just sold out his two September shows at St. Stephens Church, rising star James Bay has just announced his first headline tour with full band to date, stopping off in 9 cities including Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham.
The last month has seen the title track from James’s second ever release, the ‘Let It Go’ EP added to Radio One’s BBC Introducing playlist, as well as spins from Zane Lowe and Fearne Cotton. The track was also voted listener’s favourite when Ella Eyre chose to take it in to Edith Bowman’s Radio One Review Show. Off the back of this, the track has reached the top of the Shazam Real Time chart a total of 7 times. The EP has also reached the Number One spot on the ITunes Singer-Songwriter chart, and ‘Let It Go’ has been at the top of the HypeMachine chart twice to date. You can listen to the full EP HERE.

Hailing from Hitchin, Hertfordshire, James was discovered by Republic Records after a fan uploaded a video of him performing in a Kentish Town pub to You Tube. After months of playing open mic nights in both Brighton and London, James was flown to New York and signed his record deal. He received early radio support from BBC Introducing and XFM and has become a firm favourite with tastemaker label and promoters Communion. He has supported John Newman, Kodaline, Tom Odell and The Rolling Stones at their 2013 Hyde Park shows.
