The wait is over – Leeds audiences no longer need to ‘have a Little patience’ – The Band, a new musical featuring the music of Take That, is set to run at Leeds Grand Theatre from Tuesday 20 to Saturday 31 March 2018.
Written by Olivier Award-winner, Tim Firth, and produced by David Pugh, Dafydd Rogers and Take That’s Gary Barlow, The Bandisthe powerful story of a boyband, five female fans, and how the music becomes the soundtrack to, and has a profound affect, on each of their lives. Fellow Take That members Howard Donald, Mark Owen and ex-member Robbie Williams also produce.
It’s 1992 and for five 16-year-old girls, ‘The Band’ is everything. Twenty-Five years on, the once inseparable, and now 40-something women, are reunited as they try once more to fulfil their dream of meeting their heroes.
