The massed voices of Inspiration and the Orchestra of Opera North present a concert dedicated to film music at Leeds Town Hall on Sunday 26 July at 4pm.

Under the baton of Music Director Gary Griffiths, the concert will feature Se (Love Theme) from the 1988 film Cinema Paradiso, Lord of the Rings Suite featuring music from the Lord of the Rings Trilogy, the lively Ain’t No Mountain High Enough from Sister Act 2 and the very popular Skyfall taken from the 2012 James Bond film of the same name. The programme also includes musical favourites such as 500 Miles from 2013 film Sunshine On Leith and Suddenly from Les Misérables. The music of the silver screen comes to life in a way only Inspiration can bring to you.

Inspiration Choir is a large community choir based in Newcastle and Leeds. It came about through a passion for singing and a belief in the power of song. The name itself has a double meaning – ‘breathing in’ and ‘being inspired’. Founder Gary Griffiths has sung in and conducted choirs all his life and truly believes that singing in a large group is life-affirming and fulfilling in a way that few other activities can be. Its ethos is simple – anyone can sing. That’s it! If you want to sing, then you can. There are no auditions to join, you don’t even have to read music, you just have to enjoy it. It’s such a joyous feeling sharing our passion for singing and the power of song.

Tickets are priced at £20, £15 and £10 and are available from the Box Office on 0113 224 3801 or book online at
