An exciting weekend for beer & cricket lovers this June...
Far Headingley Beer Festival
They will be serving up beers from breweries across the country, but if beer isn’t exactly your tipple, why not try one of the bottled lagers from Belgium, the wide range of ciders and non-alcoholic beers or one of the many refreshing G&Ts. There will also be a prosecco bar!
Food will be available every day.
For entertainment, there will be live music from some great local artists as well as cricket on all three days. Families are welcome and there will be several activities for the little ones on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.
The cricket club are using the event to raise funds for the building of a new modern pavilion. This will involve a significant investment and with fundraising events like this beer festival, sponsorship from local businesses and donations from individuals, the club hopes to be able to start work later next year on building the new pavilion which will benefit the local community and the club members for years to come.
Tickets are available on the door for £10 which includes 4 drinks vouchers, a festival glass and a programme. Children are free. There are also a limited number of early bird tickets available for only £10! Please visit www.stchadscc.com for details on how to purchase them.

St Chad’s Broomfield Cricket Club
St Chad’s Broomfield Cricket Club are the only amateur cricket club in Headingley. A ‘village’ club in an inner city environment, St Chad’s CC was founded in Far Headingley in the early 1880’s, playing at their ground in front of St Chad’s Church since 1922. The club merged with Headingley Broomfield CC in 1979 to form St Chad’s Broomfield CC.
The club now has twelve senior and junior teams playing both at the weekend and midweek, with all but one continuing to play in front of St Chad’s Church. With a new women and girl’s section, and a new under 7’s team, the club are now able to provide cricket for those who have not had the opportunity in the past.
