Zoe Gilby brings her quartet to Wakefield Jazz on Friday 18th January 2013 and gets a star studded season off to a flying start. Other bands booked include Christian Brewer, Jonathan Gee, Tommaso Starace, Paul Booth and singer Liz Fletcher.
Zoe will be giving the Wakefield audience her interpretations of numbers from composers ranging from Ellington to Tom Waits as well as her own compositions taking us well beyond the “Great American Songbook.” Vibrant and classy Zoe’s music always swings and with Mark Williams on guitar, Richard Brown on drums and husband Andy Champion, being his assertive self on bass, you can be sure of a great evenings jazz. Chris de Saram WJ promoter says “no less than Courtney Pine has singled Zoe out for praise, come along and judge for yourself her performance will not disappoint.”
