Get that festive season feeling!
The Christmas spirit has arrived early in Yorkshire this year, as Lotherton Hall – one of Yorkshire’s celebrated Edwardian houses and country estates nestled between Leeds and York – has announced the launch of its magical new attraction, The Christmas Experience.
Designed with families in mind, the much-anticipated attraction is expected to capture the imaginations of youngsters across the county. Featuring enchanted experiences inspired from traditional storytelling, this authentic Christmas event is expected to leave visitors spellbound. Spread throughout the estate and Edwardian house, visitors can explore a magical Twelve Days of Christmas Walk, an Elf Village and a secret fairy hideaway.
Councillor Judith Blake, Leeds City Council’s lead member for museums and galleries, said:
“This is a truly special experience for families to enjoy from across the county and beyond. Santa will be taking up residence in our Elf Village and the beautiful Edwardian house will be decorated in charming Christmas decorations for the Edwardian Weekend, where activities such as wreath making will be taking place.
“But the magic doesn’t stop there, families can also enjoy a Twelve Days of Christmas Walk through the estate’s mysterious woodland or dress up as Edwardians and use one of the traditional backdrops to take a family portrait – it’s certainly going to be a fantastic day out for the whole family to enjoy.”
The Christmas Experience opens 25 November 2016 at Lotherton Hall
