CONCERTS AT LEEDS COLLEGE OF MUSIC
Talented young violist, Bryony Gibson Cornish, opens the Leeds Lunchtime Chamber Music 2016/17 series at The Venue, Leeds College of Music on Wednesday 5 October 2016.
2014 Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra Young Soloist of the Year, violist Bryony Gibson Cornish performs Schumann’s Märchenbilder, Brahms’ Viola Sonata and Zimbalist’s Tango and Zapateados: Sarasateana accompanied by one of the leading collaborative pianists, Alison Rhind. This concert is part of the Leeds Lunchtime Chamber Music series which takes place on Wednesdays at The Venue, and admission to all concerts is free!
Highlights of the Leeds Lunchtime Chamber Music series include performances by City Organist Simon Lindley (12 Oct), Opera North String Quartet (26 Oct), Albireo Piano Duo (9 Nov), bassoon and piano recital by Principal Bassoon of the Philharmonia Amy Harman (16 Nov), and solo piano recitals by international prize-winners Alexander Ullman (4 Jan), Olga Stezhko (8 Feb), and Mauro Lo Conte (8 Mar). Further highlights include a relaxed performance by folk musicians Alias Trio (15 Feb) plus performances from talented young musicians from The Purcell School (1 Mar) and Chetham’s School of Music (15 Mar).
The Leeds Lunchtime Chamber Music series is run by Leeds International Concert Season and features performances by the UK’s most talented young musicians at the start of their professional careers. The season also features showcase recitals from students at the UK’s leading conservatoires and junior colleges, as well as concerts by seasoned local performers.

Each concert begins at 1.05pm and lasts approximately 50 minutes so it can easily fit into your lunch break or daily routine.
