It’s been 20 years since ‘Chime’, and almost 15 years since that legendary Glastonbury appearance, but brothers Phil and Paul Hartnoll - aka Orbital - are back. The duo became instant rave figureheads when their debut single ‘Chime’ hit number 17 in the UK charts and they performed it live on ‘Top of the Pops’.
Their stock shot up, building up to their Glastonbury headline set in 1994, which has found a place in numerous ‘best ever’ gig lists. For all of us that were too young to see them first time around, or those who just want that level of euphoria back again, the band have got back together to celebrate their 20th anniversary and launch their new greatest hits package.
Expect roof-raising anthems with euphoric dance gems and cleverly used samples from the likes of 80s cheese-rockers Bon Jovi and Belinda Carlisle. Don’t be surprised to hear punters leaving raving about yet another ‘best ever’ gig.
