Exciting times are afoot at Mr Ben’s on Albion Street, with the venue neatly refurbished and hosting a range of exciting new entertainment. It has been a well regarded establishment for drinking and live music, but if you head down to the new look venue these days you’ll also find that food is on offer, along with a roster of special nights, including cabaret and comedy performances.
Mr Ben’s is transformed into the Tickle My Feet Comedy Club every Friday, when you are promised around two-and-a-half hours of funny business. And for the show on 19th February, Mr Ben has managed to bag an exciting headliner in the form of Vince Atta, whose high-octane delivery and sharp material helped earn him the title of City Life Comedian of the Year in 2006.
Also on the bill are Ruth Cockburn, who mixes music with surreal observations in a unique style; Ben Lawes, who has made big strides in his relatively short comedy career; and MC for the evening will be Chris Brooker, who’s made a name for himself as a sharp tongued performer at the Manchester Comedy Store.
And if you can’t make it on the 19th, why not head down to Mr Ben’s comedy club a week later, when the line up will feature Kevin Hayes, AJ James and Danny Deagan.
