After a successful Duckstock 1 in 2010, Leeds real ale pub Duck & Drake will once again be playing host to Duckstock this August.
Taking over the pub on 7th August for the full day, punters at Duckstock 2 will be treated to loads of quality (and largely local) real ales, good honest pub grub and of course, music and art.
The event aims to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Trust, with all proceeds going to the charity. Art on the day will be supplied by Dino Machino, who will be displaying and selling his collection of homemade jewellery and gift cards.
The big draw though (other than the real ale) is the live music. The Duck & Drake already has a great reputation for its combination of quality ales and live rock and blues. The day will be headlined by Leeds cover band The Erics. Much-loved by the local audience, this exuberant four piece play a mix of rock, punk and indie covers, including tracks by The Sex Pistols, U2, Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance, Snow Patrol, Kaiser Chiefs, Levellers, Springsteen, Green Day, The Proclaimers and plenty more in a very diverse set.
Other bands confirmed for the day so far include Blind Dead McJones Band, Crosscut Saw, The 9-Plan, Glam Sensation and Jed Thomas Band.
So either pop in for a swift pint and a quick dance about, or get settled down for the day, plan a session and make a night (and day) of it.
7 August, Duck & Drake, 1pm-12.30am, all proceeds to Macmillan Cancer Trust
