Alea Casino at Clarence Dock will be hosting probably the biggest burlesque show in Leeds history as the UK and US battle it out for feather boa dominance. Buxom ladies and flamboyant music will dominate the night, providing the very best in over-the-top entertainment.
This black tie event will include arts and vintage clothing stalls from names like Ages of Elegance and Sheena Holland, with DJ Danny Mass playing a fusion of jive, swing and jazz music. Host Mat Fraser will lead Fancy Chance, Vicky Butterfly, Bella Besame and Diva Hollywood in a night of extravagant entertainment on 28 August from 8pm. Going head-to-head with our British girls will be international talent in the forms of Pinkie Special, Siren Stiletto and Marianne Cheesecake. Expect sequins and high heels to fly as the curvaceous entertainers represent their own countries.
Organised by Leeds Burlesque, the event is part of an ongoing programme to develop a burlesque network for fans and artists throughout West Yorkshire. Founder Dalia Hawley established the organisation to counter what she saw as a deficit in local events. Dalia is an international performer under the pseudonym Cecilia Rouge and performs everywhere from London to New York.
Standard tickets are available for a mere £15 and VIP tickets are available at £20 a head, which includes waitress table service.
