Preview An Evening of Craft Beer, Rum and Cognac at Calls Landing
Latitude Wines host special cigar and liquor tasting event
Specialist wines and spirits store Latitude is hosting a special evening tasting fine cigars and liquors on 27th September in central Leeds, with some really interesting craft beer and aged rum set to be served.
Attendees at the riverside Calls Landing bar will start with a Keto Reporter beer, which uses the unusual ingredient of Kentucy Toscano tobacco. Its rich fragrances of roasted coffee and chocolate enriched by smoky and spicy aromas will be accompanied by an H Upmann Winston Churchill Cigar.
Next up will be a measure of Trois Rivieres Single Barrel Rum Agricole, to be sipped at your own leisurely pace. This will be followed by AE Dor Cigar Cognac, a spirit that’s specially designed to accompany a cigar, and to finish you will enjoy a measure of Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva rum: fabulous, dark and golden stuff from Venezuela, distilled from molasses in a copper potstill before being left for 12 years to age.
Latitude’s liquor expert Chris Hill will be on hand at the event, offering more than 17 years’ experience of working with wines and spirits. In the last 12 years he has managed some of Leeds’ top bars and restaurants, developing wine lists and cocktail menus for the likes of the Angel’s Share, Harvey Nichols, Trio Bar & Grill and Arts Café.
The session will take place at the Calls Landing on 27th September and tickets for the evening are £25. You can reserve your place by calling Latitude on 0113 245 3393
