The club have around 75 boys and girls who regularly play matches and attend the Saturday morning coaching sessions, where they learn the skills required to play and enjoy the sport. As well as junior teams, the club also has five senior teams.

The village club was founded in the early 1880s and merged with Headingley Broomfield Cricket Club in 1979 to form St Chad’s Broomfield. The club currently runs three teams in the Wetherby Cricket League.

So if you’re bowled over and fancy trying your hand at some batting or bowling - and being taught by people who know their stuff in a fun environment - their organiser Paul Berry is more than happy to hear from you. You can contact him on 07795 154444 or email paul@pbguk.com.
