To celebrate the opening of the city’s brand new visitor centre, Visit York is giving one lucky Leeds Guide reader a fantastic package deal, including theatre tickets, museum passes, accommodation and first class travel for them and a friend.

The winning pair will be able to explore York’s rich history and culture, with free entry to countless attractions courtesy of two Yorkshire Passes. After a fun filled day of sightseeing you’ll enjoy a production of Wind in the Willows at York Theatre Royal and a stay at the award winning Monkbar Hotel.

For me visiting york is like a breath of fresh air, A city of contrasts and exciting discoveries. There is so much to see and so much to do. one never gets bored with York it is a beautiful city to live or visit.

My Kids have been to York and loved it. I love Winchester as a place to live. Would York have as much to offer…............................?

York is so beautiful and the choir at the Minster are superb.Go and take part in aservice there,just makes the place perfect

York is a wonderful place from what I have seen of it but there is lots more that I still have to see.  It is certainly a place I could live in.
