How long have you been a landlord for?

I’ve been a landlord for five years now.

How did you end up in Leeds?

I moved to Leeds from Brighton five years ago and rented out my property there. I love Leeds – I certainly have no regrets moving up here. I am a Northerner now – although I do still miss the Brighton seafront.

How many properties do you own and where are they?

I own one property in Brighton and another in Leeds.

The Leeds shopping destination beats off national competition at the Urbanism Awards

Following its recent success at the UK Property Awards, Leeds’ shopping development, Victoria Quarter, scooped another prestigious award on Friday 11th November, when it was voted 2012’s Great   Place by the Academy of Urbanism.

The Urbanism Awards were initiated in 2006 to develop a strong evidence base for high quality, innovative and sustainable urbanism. The Awards process seeks to identify and recognise the best, most enduring or most improved urban environments at various levels of scale and to understand better the processes by which they are nurtured, used and enjoyed.

News Left Bank Wins Best Rescue of a Historic Place of Worship at the English Heritage Angel Awards

Major prize for the Headingley church-turned local art and performance space

Heritage project Left Bank Leeds has won an award for their restoration of The Former Church of St Margaret of Antioch on Cardigan Road.

The ‘English Heritage Angel’ awards were launched by composer Andrew Lloyd Webber in association with English Heritage in June based on its ‘Heritage at Risk Register’.

Left Bank Leeds, which was the only project in the North of England to be shortlisted, won the award for Best Rescue of a Historic Place of Worship for its restoration of the turn of the century building.
