Iconic Holbeck towers set to welcome new media companies into redeveloped office space

The redevelopment of one of Leeds’ most significant industrial heritage sites has taken an important step forward. Tower Works enjoyed its ‘Topping Out’ ceremony last month ahead of its proposed completion in January.

The Tower Works project is the redevelopment of the former steel pin factory built in 1864 into 18,000 sq ft of stylish, flexible office space designed to cater for the burgeoning new media industry growing in and around the media centre at the Round Foundry in Holbeck Urban Village.

Leeds running group the Roundhay Runners are holding a charity event at the Call Lane bar

The Roundhay Runners are taking on the mighty challenge of the London Marathon in April and are supporting a worthy cause in the process. As part of their fundraising efforts they are hosting ‘A Night at the Races’ at Brooklyn Bar to generate much-needed money for Kidney Research UK.

The night of ‘nearly live’ betting takes place on Friday 9th March, with all proceeds donated to the charity that carries out research aimed at improving treatments for patients with kidney disease, and ultimately finding a cure.
