With a fine line in back issues upstairs and all the new stuff downstairs, this is a well-stocked shop that holds a full range of both mainstream and independent comics and graphic novels. Famous faces such as Hulk, Batman and the Transformers jostle alongside the more esoteric indie characters, making it likely that even someone with the most casual knowledge of comics could soon make some new acquaintances. The staff are knowledgeable without being condescending, with helpful shelf labels such as ‘Comics from the last few weeks’ aiding navigation.
