Consisting of several venues - Mine, Stylus and Pulse as well as the Refectory for gigs - the union offers something for every taste. From Friday night student fun at Fruity and Tuesday night indie sounds at The Tunnel Club to a range of underground dance sounds at Wax:On, you just need to keep on top of all that’s happening. Brighton Beach, playing everything from s soul to Britpop, is a big favourite on the second Saturday of every month, and rock and metal night Rock of Ages on the first Saturday of the month has been giving students all they need and more for, well, ages now. Fans of alternative music should put The Wendy House into their diaries every third Saturday, where they’ll be able to get everything from dark rock to hard dance and industrial. Just keep your eye on things, though, because you’ll see everything from big-name dance acts like Pendulum to big-name promoters.
