Leeds Art Gallery

Venue Review

The Leeds City Art Gallery hosts a world-class collection of 20th century British art and exciting temporary exhibitions to rival top London galleries like the Tate. It has high-profile work by the likes of Stanley Spencer, Victorian art and pieces by French Impressionists as well as unique, modern and less well-known art in its regular exhibitions. It also hosts the prestigious Northern Art Prize each year. Watch out for quarterly Picture Lending Days, where you can walk out with your choice of picture (although sadly, not from the main collection) to hang on your own wall.
